She was acquitted of 1st degree murder but, after watching that video, I can’t see it being justified self defense. IMO, she got lucky the prosecutor got over zealous on this charges.

I don't know the facts nor can I see what he is doing when he moves off of the screen. Just looking at the video and taking it for face value that was not close to justified.

she coulda claimed he was going for a knife or something and you know her son would back her up as a witness... im not saying thats what happened, but the guy seemed confused and didn't know what was going on and got shot. andn the son seemed in a hurry to turn off the video afterward... if it was justified I don't think he would have been so shocked that she shot him. but the son seemed shocked like even HE knew that it wasn't justified.

That is Murder. Never bother with him? So, I guess if she was shot and and left on the street bleeding, no one should be bothered with her.
She is cold blood murderer.

Correct me if I’m wrong but if he skipped out on her bond she had a warrant to arrest him herself; so just imagine she had a badge and uniform at the time, because that is the authority she had. He was resisting but I couldn’t tell what happened right before she shot him (he was off screen).

The story that I read said that her statement was that he reached for the (her) gun and that is the only reason why she fired.

Her word against... no one, so she walks.

ETA: added clarification that he reached for her gun, not for one of his own.

the only gun i saw was the one in the hands of the murderer.. did they ever present another gun in the court room? the one he allegedly "reached for"? Cause in that video he doesn't appear to reach for a gun. he looks like hes trying to stay away from her.. either way even IF he was reaching for HER gun, she ended up with it so he is no longer a threat. still not justified.

I agree Carl. Her son also didn't seem to believe the shooting was justified. He was shocked throughout the entire video. When he said "Mom, you shot him![;]" her response was a curt "Yes I did." It appears to me she shot him because she was ticked off that he wouldn't comply with her instruction. If she was afraid, then why did she turn her back on him to open the desk drawer to get the gun?

If I was the prosecutor, I would have charged the kid for obstruction of justice for turning off the video. I bet he would have told what really happened. I hope she spent her life savings on her attorney.

Chas.

I don't know either of them nor do I know of them. Furthermore, I wasn't there so.....I dunno. :headscratch That said, she didn't seem to be overly concerned about her target's welfare. Y'all reckon there might of been some prior history between 'em?

if she was his bond agent, then they definitely knew each other...
