“I’m just reaching in my backpack for a cell phone.”

Man protecting his neighborhood, got 17 stab wounds for his activism.

Photo of stabber could also go on the eye test works thread.

Generally someone who will not accept the help of a court appointed attorney and wants to represent themself is insane.

I had this problem near my house last week. I called professionals and they immediately radioed for back up. A trip to the hospital was called in and the problem was solved with no one being stabbed or shot.

Homeless are generally homeless for a reason.

If the so-called homeless that I call 'bums' tried this in my neighborhood, oh the hilarity would ensue...

Set up a tent in my yard, oh man, ...

If they'd just ban knives everything would be hunky-dory.

The judge said that in the event the BG got out he was to stay away from the man he stabbed. How in the world would they let him out?
Agree with Abraham, these are bums. Homeless are people that through no fault of their own have lost their homes. These are bums, most are psychotic or drug users.

Sadly, I can think of 2 scenarios:
1) The homeless man is found not guilty by reason of insanity. He goes into "Therapy" in a controlled environment and after a few months of parroting the "Doctors" they declare him cured and release him.

2) The prosecutor lets him plead to a lessor (non-violent) charge and he is released from prison after a few months - probably due to overcrowding and a cry to let non-violent offenders out early.

Yes, I am cynical.

A homeless man spent nights in the shrubbery by the plant a few years ago. Yes, he was mentally ill. Unfortunately he tried to follow me into the plant one day looking for coffee, or a handout. I'm sure I didn't deal with it in the best way. He smelled horrible, and I wasn't in a good mood. He got angry and left. Only saw him a few times in the next few months on the street.
Do what you say you're gonna do.
