Man traveled half way around the world to abduct a 14 year old girl he chatted with on line.

Mom shot him as he attempted to break into their home.

Girl had recently told him she didn’t want to chat anymore with him.

Moral: Live in gun friendly states if your daughters use the internet. Make sure your wife can shoot.

Done. My six daughters, my wife, and I live in Texas.

And done. My wife has her LTC, carries her Walther PPS M2 LE, and shoots it well.

6 girls and 4 boys? Your wife must be a saint! Well done!
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Just as important or maybe more important: Know what your children are doing online, and who they chat with.

Apparently this girl's parents knew about the Krazy Kiwi in addition to being armed, so that put Mom ahead of the curve when he showed up at the house.

It is not easy to know everything our children are doing online. Most of the time my mother had no idea the stupid things my brother and I did and that was before the internet.

Now with smart phones and computers at everyones house, it seems very difficult. The only option I see is to educate our children and pray a whole lot.

Both my daughter and my son had to surrender their passwords, when my daughter got a cell phne at 16 the absolute cardinal rule was If I call you better answer NO EXCUSES! I told her this is both your leash and your freedom, if I call and you don't answer i'll take away both the phone and your car keys!
And of course when she complained she had no privacy I informed her that she only had the privacy I chose to give her!

Mine are now 39 and 34. Daughter and a son. We had the same rules and to this day if a call is made to any of us by the other, the response is instant. Non urgent calls are proceeded by a text saying call when you can. :smilelol5: Being the protective dad, I overreact to no answer anyway. Haha... somehow my mind won't let me just assume they are busy. I start thinking all kinds of silly scenarios.
