shame... The husband shouldn't have said anything and kept the element of surprise. He might be alive. Personally if i hear someone rooting around in my house, to me the best thing to do is arm yourself and keep quiet. don't go confront them or try to be a hero. Also another reason my weapon of choice for home defense is a shotgun. 1 shot is all it woulda took with XX buck... either way that hoodlum should have got the death penalty... ridiculous.

:iagree: Letting them take your stuff will only have them coming back at a later time to get more stuff. That's why some peoples houses get broken in multiple times.
