NYPD looks to charge 9 proud boys after being attacked by Antifa.

Read the part where they are flanked and attacked by Antifa. May also charge them with hate crimes.

It's pretty hard to feel sympathetic towards the Proud Boys. I doubt they'd want my sympathy anyway.
However, it does appear that the NYPD is going after the Antifa instigators as well.
A jury can decide who was guilty. Seems there's plenty of video.

When they are left wing.

Article says it's clear (with video evidence) that the antifa people started the fight and were throwing bottles. So yep, lets arrest the guys that won the fight, even if they were attacked first.



What stood out most on the video I saw was the nypd allowed the protestors to have the street and treated the people exiting the building like they had done something wrong- barking at them to get going move faster, etc. Antifa was "lying in wait" it seems. And it seems they got what they were looking for. Why not just disburse the crowd before they came out? Would have been better for at least one antifa member.

This is exactly what the communist left wants...to have "right wing extremist" groups engage in violent acts against the left's Antifa street thugs. The commies want excuses to crack down on their opponents rights to meet, speak and associate freely. The proud boys are playing into their hands.

Maybe so, but let's at least be fair in our discussion... They [proud boys] were PEACEFULLY meeting, speaking and associating freely inside the building and then when they left- they were met by an angry mob (of left wing antifa agitators) that attacked a couple of them. Does not matter if they are proud boys, sisters of the sainthood Church or senior citizens for Trump. They were attacked.

If they [antifa] have to attack people to provoke the desired response, then nothing we do (short of giving in completely) will stop it... but if we alter our lives and give in, that will embolden them to continue and to get more aggressive because it will have been working.

A bloody nose in self defense is the fastest way to stop a bully... that has been proven over and over, for thousands of years. Ever notice how fast these things end once a few people get beaten up in self defense, by those they were antagonizing?


ETA- for the record, I don't know anything about the "proud boys" and I'm not defending anything but their right to leave a peaceful gathering and walk home without being assaulted.

Antifa are the modern day brownshirts for the new Democratic Socialists we have here in our country. Just like the National Socialist German Workers Party before them, party leadership spouts the hateful rhetoric and the Antifa brownshirts carry out the violence. Maxine Waters, Eric Holder, numerous "celebrities". They are all calling for exactly what Antifa is doing across the country.

The difference here is that the hate mongers are not preaching to an impoverished and starving population. Instead, the economy is setting records every day. So hopefully we will get a different outcome.

It's one of the favorite tactics of the radical left. They attack people verbally and often physically. If the victims don't fight back, the radicals win, and they do more of it. If the victims fight back, the radicals use that to attack the victim in the court of public opinion, and in kangaroo courts if they can swing it.

Look at how they exploded with faux outrage when Brett Kavanaugh lashed out verbally against his attackers.

The same for Trump firing back at people who take potshots at him.

The same for antifa beating up people.
