"I saw the knife in his right hand, so I ran after him. I kept getting him to try and put down the knife," he said. "We kept walking backwards and backwards and backwards."

Brown said he was waiting for some help, and it took "way too long." He said the last thing he wanted to do was shoot somebody.

"The point was to hold his focus," Brown said. "There were people everywhere, and he's focused on me. He's not running after other people. He's focused on me."
This is one of those "defensive use of handgun" that won't ever make the anti's statistics, because the trigger was never pulled.
