Lamar High School is in front of River Oaks Boulevard which leads to the River Oaks Country Club. Homes along this street are in the 10 to 20 million dollar range. Famous Alums include Beyoncé and Tommy Tune.

The shooting appears to be on the side of the school, rather than the front. Student was a recent transfer from a rough high school. I guess his parents were trying to save him from gangs. Guess that didn’t work out.

RIP.

Sounds like 3 will be eventually executed, since there were two in get away car.

Car used in murder found.

Killers may have used a stolen car and abandoned it.

Pretty sophisticated for a teenage gang shooting.

Any time you have the Chief of police and mayor issuing press releases on a murder, your probably getting caught.

I am wondering if the murdered teen had previous gang involvement. Some of these street gangs are absolutely a menace.

Aren't they all or am I uninformed about some that are law abiding?

Thanks!

By 'so true' do you mean there are gangs that aren't 'gangs' as we generally think of them?

You know, violent criminals?

If so, can you name some of the 'good gangs'?

Thanks!

Let it go already. Yeah. Some are not as viscous. There are gangs right here in Plano that have a bunch of wanna be spoiled rich kids. Then there are gangs that will cut your throat for a pair of air jordans. The real point was, that the murdered kid may have been involved in a gang where he came from.

03Lightningrocks,

OK, I don't think of the Boy Scouts as a gang as we think of 'gangs'.

A little tongue in cheek humor perhaps?

I've not had all my coffee yet, so yeah, I'm still groggy and a bit muddy in my thinking...

You know, normal for me.

Killing him at his high school was very brazen.

It obviously brought unwanted attention to this supposed gang members murder.

However, I hadn’t thought about this. What if he normally was armed?

Getting him at school meant he was unarmed till he got to his car.

Gun free zones kill again.
