An armed man walked into the casino and approached a popular poker cage, where he demanded money, before quickly fleeing out the north entrance, Las Vegas police said in an overnight press conference.

The suspect attempted to carjack someone at the valet but was confronted immediately by four uniformed officers.

The casino was filled with police officers Friday night because they responded to a report of a missing 12-year-old girl, officials briefed on the investigation told ABC News.

...

As officers were in the casino's surveillance room reviewing CCTV footage connected with the missing child, they're "watching the robbery live" on security cameras.

Police immediately put the call on their radios about the robbery, leading at least two groups of officers to confront the suspect outside the hotel.
The robber shot a cop, who was wearing body armor, in the chest. Another cop shot the robber, not wearing body armor, in the chest. The cop suffered a broken cell phone. The robber suffered a gun shot wound and died a few hours later.

BTW, the missing girl was located and a man arrested in connection with that incident.

I think that if I were to ever plan a robbery, the location listing would have "Casino" marked through it as a bad idea...

Another locale where I intend to never set another foot. The number of those 'go-nomore' locales is growing daily.

It's where the money is. I wouldn't be surprised if they have more cash on hand than banks.

Yeah, having been in the security market for many years, I'd say they also have more cameras than most cities.
