Mexico seizes 380,000 boxes of Kellogg’s cereal.

Dangerous for children’s health.

Good that Mexico has its priorities straight.

I'm sure it's not connected to the increase of traffic from Central and sSouth America.

Very Sad. I don't see how in a place where this is the situation:
The cartels seem intent on squelching even non-violent resistance...given the government’s current policy of tolerating the homegrown Viagras cartel....
How can these people can look to anyone but themselves for help? Mora understood that and I wouldn't be shocked that the Mexican government was the driving force in shutting down Mora's militia and targeting him for assassination. The major loss is that these citizens lost their fighting spirit to fight for themselves and their community.

The government is the cartel. It’s the exact same thing here. Government’s only take care of themselves. Governments don’t care about the citizens. If the majority of government lackeys actually understood that they are just useful idiots and that the “elite” will dispose of them too once they’re no longer needed things might be different. Might.

“But what I do want to make very clear is that the day they attack me, if they give me even the slightest opportunity, I will go down fighting,” he said.

“I won’t sit around with my arms crossed,” Mora added. “I will die defending my rights and defending my life.”

From 2013, here is what actually happened to the Autodefensas:
On 21 August a joint army, navy and state police operation arrested several community police members and put Salgado{an Autodefensa leader} herself into a high security jail hundreds of miles away, accused of kidnapping.

The swoop on Olinalá triggered marches, road blocks and standoffs around the region that led to more arrests of vigilantes and seized weapons, not always by the authorities.

Hoping to avoid a full-blown crackdown, most of the Guerrero self-defence groups have since retreated into their strongholds and hidden away their higher calibre guns. But there is little evidence that they are about to fade away meekly.

There was a joint crackdown by the Mexican government and cartels.
