Man drives off and he shoots at fleeing car.

This was a year ago, but is now getting some traction in the New York and British press.

Man in car videoed the interaction.

Man in car said he was looking for a fishing spot and did not realize he was on private property.

Honey Grove, Texas. 90 miles North East of Dallas CBD.

I wonder why the guy with the gun is acting so belligerent? I wonder if something that happened before the video started that set him off. I think he is in for some jail time but we shall see. Knowing a few more details about this incident would help to know if he was within his rights to act as he did.

That is probably why, right there.

What is really scary to me is that if there was not a video, it would be very difficult to prove what really happened.
Even with the video it is not clear.

I'm very curious about what happened BEFORE the video in the article. Of course, I'm sure the authorities there in Fannin County are, too.

Looks like Truelock earned himself 20 years in prison right there... have to wonder if he is some sort of serial killer?

What an idiot. He deserves jail time for sure. Regardless what happened before, he clearly is an aggressor in my opinion. And as the man drives away from him (if he drove towards him that’d be a different case), he fires at his car. Aggravated assault with the deadly weapon I’d say at the least.

Pulling the gun when there's no justification for force, and throwing that shot at the departing vehicle? No immediate threat, no imminent harm, wildly unreasonable, idiot w/ a gun = good arrest.

With more liberals buying guns, will we see more of this?

The idiot with the gun is acting as though there may be some history between them and we don't see what occurred prior to the part of the video we get to see. I believe there's a Paul Harvey "the rest of the story" here, but I can't fathom anything that would justify firing off a round as the guy left.

This was on another forum, the guy in the car I think is an ex husband who has been stalking and harassing the ex wife who is the gunmans wife.

If this is true it would certainly explain the anger the man with the gun was showing.
