Thanks,

Thanks! I hadn't gotten that far into the process as to be sent to PayPal; it sounded like self-hosted solution from another member's comments. I just donated now!

The SSL has been installed and everything resolves to the https:// secure, encrypted site. As Wes noted, all donations go through PayPal's secure site, but now everything input on TFC forms is encrypted.

Thanks for joining folks and for the donations. Membership is free so please encourage your friends and family members to join. We need a level of membership that will have a big impact in Austin!

Remember, it's not necessary to create a user account on the TFC website to join, and creating a user account does not make you a Member. You must fill out the Member Application.

Thanks,
Chas.

I can't get into a TFC v. TSRA discussion. You can look at the activities of TFC and look for differences. Both will be active in the legislative arena, but we may have different agendas and at times different approaches.

TSRA has always had about 40,000 members and with no membership fee, I hope TFC will be many times that number so we can accomplish more in Austin.

Charles, it's worth it just for the Bill Status Report. Linking to the actual bills was genius. Great work. I paid for membership previously. I wonder if you would accept monthly electronic withdrawals some day? I'd be more than happy to setup an automatic withdrawal that helps to fund TFC projects.

Thanks for joining and I'm not sure about recurring donations yet. That may come in a few weeks, but I'm swamped with legislative stuff at this point.

Thanks for asking.
