WTB - S&W 642 or 442 - DFW
Looking for a LNIB S&W 642 or 442 with NO lock. New is just a tad under $500.00 at $485.00. I would sure like to save a little money.

I just saw some of each of these on GB for less than 480. One or two was right at the 400 mark. I don't know what taxes and fees will add to that but it is one option for the "no locks". If the seller happens to be in Texas, you can meet up direct with no FFL fees involved if the buyer agrees to it. I have even had guys from Texas offer to buy the gun direct from me if I cancel the bid on GB but it made me nervous about the integrety of someone asking me to "cheat" GB. Even if they do make big money, it did not feel right.

I think I have one for you. Let me check at the store tomorrow and will let you know.
If we still have it, it has maybe 100 rounds through it.

I carry the 442 with +P loaded in it and three speed loaders. I love mine. Light weight, easy to pocket carry if need be. But it is the lock variety. Maybe Carlson will get lucky here.
