Very happy with my Black Arch ADM.
Comfortably conceals my full size Ruger 9E

IWB or OWB? Leather or Kydex, carry or range use?

So many great holsters available for 1911's, that you have to narrow it down a bit... or you'll get every holster made recommended to you!

Sorry, I read over the IWB in the 1st post.

VMII is great, if you like more cant- the Nexus or Criterion (also Milt Sparks) are top notch. If you like Kydex, I can't recommend anyone more than JM Custom Kydex.

I also had a Jeffrey QS-CC IWB that was very comfortable. It's completely molded on the front. (not a reinforced mouth, though)

Brommeland holsters are also fantastic. Hard to narrow this field. There are about 50 great makers for 1911's!

I would look into TT gunleather. I own two Mikes specials for a colt rail gun (colt M45) and a Beretta 92FS. They're great for larger guns, the opening is reinforced, and the standard leather is $120 shipped with a decent turnaround time. The guy answers emails in a timely manner, and does top notch work.
I've been wearing this rail gun for 3 days straight, and it's gonna be my last 1911 holster, guaranteed.
