TX: San Antonio resident kills home invader

The suspect broke into a home in the 3600 block of West Houston Street around 10:50 p.m. while armed with a rifle.

When confronted by one of the home's residents, the suspect started shooting at them, but the resident returned fire and killed the suspect.

San Antonio man killed in home invasion shootout identified by authorities

The deceased is Edgar Ramon, 34.

Googling around finds this in Feb 2017:

William Ramon, 34, and Edgar Ramon, 33, kicked in the front door of a residence, according to information in affidavits. Edgar Ramon then put a handgun to the man’s head and demanded all the money he had. After stealing the money, he then hit the man several times in the back and told him he was part of the Mexican Mafia and he would be killed if he called the police, the affidavits stated.

The victim was able to get away.
