Columbus Ohio: Man walking alone is attacked by three would-be robbers. Eventually gets his pocketknife out and drives them off. Video at link, worth watching and contemplating WWID?

With that said, it's really hard to explain that you're the good guy if you used a knife on someone.
Just tell them you figured it was easier to clean your knife than your gun.
