Most folks say he will, but from where I stand I can’t tell.

I think he is going to sign it. He has until something like the 17th to veto it. If he doesn't, it will still be law on September 1, 2021.

Why wouldn't he sign it?

He has until the 20th to sign it. I keep saying, he's waiting to get all the key people involved in passage of the bill together to do a big press conference. The only thing he has not announced is when and where yet. I suspect we'll see something in the next week.

I keep thinking of all the times in my life I put something off for just the right time.... and how many times something came up and interrupted my plans. Fingers crossed!

They've had a lot of time to get together for an hour and some cameras.

Keep in mind, an interruption would only prevent a veto. Not signing it by the 20th is effectively the same as signing it. That being said, there is practically zero chance this goes unsigned. He made a big deal about saying he would sign it if it made it to his desk.

Ahh, I didn't realize that- I thought it had to be signed. Thanks for clarifying for me. :tiphat:

I say that he should sign it at the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement. That would make a statement!
