How pro-gun is Dennis Bonnen?

#1

Post by mojo84 »

Looks like he may be the next speaker of the Texas house. I know little to nothing about him. Any thoughts or insight into just how strong he is when it comes to being a true conservative and pro-gun legislator? Hopefully, insight and opinions can be provided without blatant bashing as that is not productive before the session starts.

Got the bill text or a link?
I'm still not able to find any of the 86th sessions bills.

Edit: That page is from 2013: It is the 83 (r) HB 553 here: https://capitol.texas.gov/BillLookup/Hi ... Bill=HB553

Fairly long text: https://capitol.texas.gov/tlodocs/83R/b ... navpanes=0

Tldr: Makes it illegal for cops to confiscate firearms for most purposes without other criminal action on behalf of the accused.

I am aware of when the information in the link was released and that it regarded a previous sessions bill. I was just trying to find anything I could that would indicate his true 2nd Amendment stance and how much of a proponent he is of the 2nd. That is all I found in my brief search.

The 86th session bills are not available for public viewing online yet.

Thanks. Last I saw they were still sorting them out and trying to get them posted.
