SB 535 sent to governor

Senator Campbell and Representative Flynn's bill completely removes from Texas law the 1995 reference to churches and synagogues, meaning these places are treated as all other private property.

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

The only purpose of 46.035 is banning licensed Texans from carrying handguns where undocumented AR-15 carry is allowed.

The Texas GOP kicks law abiding gun owners in the teeth every year they celebrate this anti-LTC law instead of repealing it.

Hey! Hey!
Ho! Ho!
Dennis Bonnen has to go!
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

While this is technically correct regarding the impact of TPC §46.035, it is not the "purpose." Yes, you can carry long guns in some locations set out in §46.035, but certainly not all locations. If people really tried to carry their AR-15 in those locations where it is legal (school campuses, hospitals, churches), we'd be fighting another bill to apply TPC §46.02 to rifles and shotguns.

I'm not at all happy with the 2019 Texas Legislative Session either.

Chas.
