DPS Affidavit: Poncho Nevarez Dropped his Cocaine

On November 6, Representative Poncho Nevarez (Poncho) issued a press release stating he was immediately suspending his Facebook page.

He blamed Mark Zuckerberg.

Two days later, Poncho announced he would not be running for reelection but didn’t place blame. Maybe it was the envelope of cocaine he’s alleged to have dropped outside of an Austin airport.
Isn't this an interesting turn of events.

And now you know the rest of the story...

Next, the Rangers will find bribes and cartel ties, and it is off to Federal Prison for Cokie Poncho.

I don't get why he votes yes on some bills for our side, and no on others. What's his angle?
Maybe he was that rare politician that voted his real beliefs. Right or Left? Who knows. Then again, maybe when high on coke he voted libtard and when he was sober he voted conservative. :biggrinjester:

Could also be to game the NRA rating system. Give just enough votes for pro-gun legislation when it is obvious that it will pass, that he doesn't get the F rating from the NRA to be bludgeoned with during elections.

Sounds like he's basically 'fessed up:
On Thursday, Nevárez, who chairs the House Homeland Security & Public Safety Committee, said in a statement to The Texas Tribune that "the news is true" — and that's why he decided against seeking re-election to the lower chamber.

"I do not have anyone to blame but myself," he said. "I accept this because it is true and it will help me get better."

Nevárez said "grief and addiction were consuming me" and noted that he plans to "seek treatment."

I'm thinking this. He can tell conservatives he votes for pro-gun laws. "I voted for x, y, z. Well I did vote against a, b, c they weren't going to pass anyways and it makes me look good to my liberal voters." Then you just flip it when he is talking to liberals.

Assuming his actions match his words, I wish him well equally as much as I wish him gone from the Texas House.

Some of the comments from that article are pretty funny. Cocaine Pancho is one. I think Pancho Montana would be good for an AKA.
