MD: Federal appeals court skeptical of Maryland handgun rules

The SCOTUS decision in NYSRPA v. Bruen has spawned numerous 2A cases. This justifies the creation of this new forum.

Federal appeals court skeptical of Maryland handgun rules
A federal appeals court appeared skeptical during an argument Friday that Maryland's rules for purchasing handguns could survive a legal challenge in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling last year expanding gun rights.
The plaintiffs in the Maryland lawsuit - two individuals, the non-profit gun rights group Maryland Shall Issue and dealer Atlantic Guns - are challenging a 2013 law requiring residents to obtain a permit from the state before they can purchase a handgun. The application process includes an online submission, fingerprinting and in-person firearms safety training.
"I'm still waiting for any founding-era statute that had a restriction similar to what we have here," Agee said near the end of one exchange.

Hopefully, we'll be able to sing "Another One Bites The Dust" before too long.
