Anyone have news on HB1069 - First Responder Training?

HB1069 was brought up in the instructor's class. Has anyone heard anything else about the instructor training other than it may be patterned after the School Safety class? Any leads on when they will start instructor classes?

The bill says we can start teaching the class Jan. 1, 2022. Hard to see that happening since I haven't see anything from the DPS.

I've got a little vacation time I need to use up....

Agreed. I sent an email to RSD over a month ago and still have not had a reply.

Glad the training is not required for VOLUNTEER EMERGENCY SERVICES PERSONNEL. Unless I missed something.

Way I read it it's for first responders pulling shifts so no, it would not apply to volunteer fire department personnel.
