The "Quick Reply" Button

#1

Post by joe817 »

Last night, I noticed that every thread that I posted to, I saw a "Quick Reply" button just above and to the right of the all familiar "Save,Preview,Submit" buttons. It was on every post I was responding to, in every forum, no matter where I was. That was the first time I had noticed that.

And today it's gone. Is something funky going on?

Oh wait. It IS there! But it's there before I hit the "Post Reply" button. Hmmm. I still have never noticed it. Maybe it's just me. (I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. )

Noticed the button the other day as well, didn't use it but I did just now (with this post).

The difference between this option and Post-Reply is the editor is a simple input box, no formatting options, no tags for url, you-tube, no smileys, etc. There is a Submit and a Full Editor button.

So to make a quick reply and not adding links or pictures or need fancy formatting, its a nice feature. I like it, but then I'm a geek (with a gun)

edit: hmmm, so I just went to reply on another thread and no quick reply button. I wonder why? :headscratch

I've seen it, but the regular way has always been quick enough for me.
