Very sorry to hear this news. I met John once when he came to one of our breakfast meets at Rudy's BBQ in Katy Tx. Very nice man. My prays and condolences to his family in this time of sorrow.

I don't know if it was unexpected or not, but I hope to learn more in the coming days. I didn't know he had a heart problem, but other Forum Member may.

Very sad news to hear of John’s passing. I always enjoyed conversations with him at our forum breakfasts, and will miss him dearly.

My prayers go out to him and his family. Rest In Peace, my friend.
Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.

John was still recovering from a bout with pneumonia according to his last post Dec. 5 explaining his last absence from the breakfast.
