Glock 26 bent ejector

#1

Post by glbedd53 »

Neighbor just got a new Glock 26. We shot 50 rounds through it today and it was flawless. When I took it apart afterward I noticed the ejector is bent to the right toward the port. None of my Glocks look that way but they are Gen 2s. Is it damaged or made that way?

If it worked flawlessly, then it's probably fine. How severe is the bend? I think it slighly veers to the right, but not much. Also, I think its sort of an optical illusion due to the tapered shape from the bottom up. Depending on the angle you're looking at it, it may look more bent than it really is. I couldn't get a good photo of mine, but I'll try to post one tomorrow for comparison.

Also, if it's Gen 4, I think the ejector has more bend than the prior versions, but I don't have one to compare.

That is standard for 9mm Glocks. Supposedly the Gen 4s have a greater bend than previous versions but I don't know this first hand.

My G19 Gen 4's ejector has a noticeable bend as well.

Are your Glocks .40s? That may be why you don't notice it on yours. I think the 9mm Glocks have more of a bend. My G19 also has a bend. Nothing to worry about.

True. Since the frames are essentially the same, I'm sure the ejector is bent more on the 9mm to account for the different case size.

Thanks for the help. I found some other info on it and it said the same thing. The only Glock I still own is a Gen 2 G-21 and I can't see a noticeable bend. I guess the 9mms were that way and I just didn't see it.

If it were bent then the slide wouldn't go on without a fight.

The Gen 3s and 4s have different ejectors. The new ones have more of a bend. If you look at the sides of it the newer version (which also shows up on some newer Gen 3s and on Gen 4s) there is a part number that starts with a 4 and is about 5 numbers long. The older ones that don't look as bent (at least from around 2009) are marked 336.

I'd post pics but I've never been able to load pics on this forum.
