Are gun prices going up?

It seems that all across the board pries are rising. New, used, rifles, pistols, and accessories for them. Everything.

Am I the only one who has noticed this, or am I just a cheap skate?

I haven't noticed, but, then I haven't bought a new firearm in about a year, as I don't shoot the ones I have now as much as I'd like to.

I'll be at the SHOT Show at the end of the month, and ask around.

It seems to me like they are creeping up, but I guess that is the same with everything else.

Lindy, since when to you have to shoot all the guns you have in order to buy more? :)

Some gun prices have moved upwards slightly, I believe due to the continued high demand. Others are creeping downward, as older models are being replaced with newer ones i.e. S&W M&P original are very inexpensive, due to the 2.0 versions. Glock gen 3&4 can be had for a song. I haven't noticed much movement either way in accessories. Used guns are still at the mercy of what the market will bear. As long as someone is willing to pay top dollar for used guns, prices will stay high.
Gun manufacturers, like any other, want to maintain the highest profit margin possible, so they continually upgrade their products, to make them more attractive to buyers. And they have to recoup, R&D costs, marketing costs, and tooling/manufacturing costs. Shipping prices, never go down, only up, so there are associated costs with it.
