Springfield Armory XD(m) in the Houston area

#1

Post by Treetop »

Can someone advise me on where in the greater Houston area to purchase a new Springfield Armory XD(m)?

Approximately what can I expect to pay for one in .45 ACP? Thanks, Tt.

Get a hold of Morgan at http://moderndefensivemeasures.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. He is a member of this forum and will treat you right. I had checked with him recently about a gun that turned out to be out of stock everywhere but he responded to my questions quickly.

I've seen them here and there around town, but they've all been a good deal pricier than you could get with a FFL transfer from online.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping that I had "missed" a local gun dealer that stocked the S.A. XD(m).

As denwego stated in his post:
"I've seen them here and there around town, but they've all been a good deal pricier than you could get with a FFL transfer from online."
That's what I've run into also.

SQLgeek's idea seems to be the cheapest route: http://moderndefensivemeasures.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks again, everyone.

Try Spring Guns and ammo, they usually have great priceing and take good care of the customers. I bought my XD-9SC from them for a little over 500.00 which included a free range pass for a latter date, and also let me go to the range free after purchase. I also bought my TLR-2 light there and recived a free range pass.

High Caliber Gun Shows are in the Houston Area a couple of times a month. I saw some great prices at the one in Tyler a couple of weeks ago. I bought an XD9 SC for $400.

City Show Dates
Pasadena July 16 - 17
Houston July 30 - 31
Conroe August 13 - 14

Thanks for the help, guys. I do appreciate it. I don't own any "high cap" pistols right now. I've been a 1911 guy since the 60s. I own six of them now (5 in .45 ACP and one .22 LR Ace). Call me paranoid but I think our time to buy high cap pistols and magazines may be shorter than we think. I'm going to make my purchase(s) ASAP, just because I still can! Tt.

I bought my xd from black gold guns. If you want a place that you can fondle all you want with no pressure and no lines to wait in, he's the guy. Gordon will take care of you.

Talk to Ryan at http://www.houstongunforum.com/contact" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He's just opened his shop off Stuebner Airline near 1960 and is a great guy. He can usually get you whatever you want.

Gun emporium up in Conore had a buig assortment of them couple months back. Prices were reasonable and they will match prices I believe with other dealers.
