So AndyC, are you going to change your forum name to The Executioner, or just Mack Bolan? ;-)

In the second angle pic from the factory, it looks like it's smiling at you where the upper meets the lower.

True - a version of 'Smile and wait for the flash', perhaps?

Update from the CEO:
The first Founder Editions will be going out next week.

Also we have made enough parts for the second batch to make 220 guns or uppers. The only thing we are short on is barrel blanks and then we can start making classics and extra 8 1/2 uppers. We will be down during the Shot Show but I think most of these should be complete in February.

I have absolutely no use for a handgun like that but I'm a bit envious. Does that make me a bad person?

Not in the slightest - and yeah, it'll just be a range toy I've always wanted.

I also have a couple of those.

Nothing wring with a range toy or two. Shooting should still be fun. :)

Update from the factory:

One of those has to be mine :hurry:

Edit Jan 11: Factory updates:
We made good on our promise to you... the first six (6) of the new .44 Auto Mag Founders Edition pistols are leaving the factory headed out today. We are honored that together we made it happen. We could not have done it without your trust.

It has been almost three years since we acquired the assets of Auto Mag Corp. We have worked hard and spent a great deal of time and money to make sure what we produce is mechanically far superior to the original Auto Mag but retains that same look and feel.

These first six will be followed by another 14 in the next few days and we expect by early February every one will have their new baby. They are being shipped in the order of your commitment.

Also, look for another email explaining when the Classic will be available for pre-order. We have already produced more than 200 of each part except for the barrels. We are waiting on additional barrels blanks.

#41

Post by EL29jm » Mon Jan 22, 2018 12:43 pm

From what I understand, the Auto Mag Ltd. is now taking orders, and money, if you were on their waiting list, signed up. Looks like for those who are interested their wait is over to purchase one. Just some time to manufacture them. Congratulations to Andy for snagging one of the Founders Edition. Hope yours arrive soon, want to see pictures, will be a nice edition to your collection.

I had left a VM for the owner of the new AutoMag company to make sure I was in the queue for a 6.5" model. He called back and casually quizzed me a little re AutoMag history and, to cut a long story short, he offered me one of the last two Founder's Editions (8.5"). I figure I'm due something special after dabbling in crypto-currencies and making healthy profits, so time to reward myself - so I accepted.

The pistol should arrive Feb sometime.
Very cool. Congrats!

This has been an interesting thread - bringing up names from the long ago past: "The Executioner" and "Mack Bolan." I consumed those novels many, many years ago.

I had every book in the series. I finally quit when the ghost writers started going completely off the rails. The quality really went downhill after Don Pendleton sold off the rights.
