Quilt show at George R Brown Convention Center posted?

#1

Post by JRG »

I am dropping the wife off to ride the metro into Houston tomorrow morning to attend the Quilt show at the George R Brown Convention Center. Does anyone know if the GRB is posted? How about the Quilting Show? I'd hate to have her carrying and get there and have no where to get rid of her gun if indeed it is posted.

The GRB is not normally posted, although organizations hosting the event have been known to post Invalid signs. I would guess that it is pretty unlikely that a quilting convention would do so.

They may check purses for bleach.

That appears to be the weapon they are most worried about.

Good news. How bad was traffic on that end of downtown?
God, grant me serenity to accept the things I can't change
Courage to change the things I can
And the firepower to make a difference.

Not sure since she rode the bus downtown and was at the George R Brown convention center by 8:45. They were not starting to set up for the Astros parade until 11:00 a.m. I imagine from 11:00 until an hour or so after the parade the traffic was horrendous.
