The summer heat pales in comparison to the gun after the first mag is run at the range... Plus in a safe, the heat up and cool down is so gradual you won't get any condensation- assuming it's a fire rated safe. As a precaution, I wiped down my safe guns with a silicon impregnated rag 1-2 times per year with guns I didn't shoot and just cleaned and wiped down as normal, the guns I shot. 2 years in a garage and 8 more in a rural metal building/shop that was way less moisture tight than the garage! Nothing extravagant here- just a goldenrod in a champion 25 size.

A little off topic, but does have to do with a safe in the garage. If you have an alarm system, have your garage door/doors and windows, if any, alarmed as well. That just helps give less time for someone to compromise the safe.
