In 2017, I built myself a 20” replica of a M16A4. Between the rifle-length gas system, proper buffer weight, and the extra 2” of barrel over my next longest AR, the recoil could be described more as a gentle “bump” than a normal recoil impulse. Yeah, it’s heavier and longer than a carbine, but it is a real sweetie pie to shoot. IT has become my favorite AR.
