Sam Rayburn High School parking lot. Two twenty year olds delivering supplies for a choir performance drove off and gun went off inside the car.

That's my alma mater. Not many details of this event. I am always irked with reports saying a gun accidentally went off. :banghead: I doubt there will be a follow up story and we'll never know what really happened.

Unless they dropped a Sig Sauer P320 in the vehicle, guns don't just go off by themselves. Someone did not follow the safety rules, especially the rule to treat the gun as if it is always loaded and not put a finger on the trigger until the person are ready to shoot.

This incident and the Hot Wells tragedy give firearm owners a black eye when Washington DC is trying to pass National Reciprocity.
