Playing with a gun in a car, accidentally went off. They thought it was unloaded.

I find it interesting that the odds of a gun going off accidentally, seem to increase as it is pointed at someones head.

I saw the video. Sure looked intentional to me.

I wouldn't be surprised if the woman who pulled the trigger ends up getting charged.

More ironic is that loaded guns rarely go off... you have to actually try to get those to fire- with intentional 5-9 lbs of pressure applied directly to the trigger in a straight rearward fashion.

This is just another reason why my unloaded guns are stored in the safe. (sarcasm off)

WOW!!   I just watched it... she pulled the trigger several times and then right before aiming at his head, she racked the slide! he said "your making me nervous" and then BANG- she shot him.

I'll actually be shocked if she isn't charged...

Was posted in another forum. It was on youtube but don't think it still is. It shows everything so it is pretty graphic.

OK. I found it on youtube, but I'm not going to post the link here. I agree, it looks like pure murder.

Edit: That user's video was removed.

Thank you guys for not posting the video or link. It is very graphic and contains profanity. As stated, members can easily find it on Youtube if they are so inclined to view it.

I could see criminal negligence.
Similar to the bondswoman in OK, it the DA goes for something too high, they'll get off.
But, man are they dumb.

Also, is there any chance that he will survive that. I know the article says listed in critical condition, but unless the round deflected towards the outside of the skull, I don't see how that is survivable...

What a shame.

She pulled the trigger on an empty chamber, racked the slide, pointed it at the man’s head and pulled the trigger. Not an accident.
Do not play with firearms, especially “unloaded”ones.

That appears to be either Manslaughter (TPC §19.04) or Criminally Negligent Homicide (TPC §19.05). Depending upon the underlying circumstances, I could see a murder charge being filed (TPC §19.02).

The video is still on YT and other places... I started to watch it, but thought better when she picked up the gun.

Too much stupid for words.
