The storyline is about Kerrigan's redemption, but I agree that the game really feels more like a modernized version of the same thing. However, I'd say that was the game's appeal. All I know is that I get my butt kicked every time I try to play against other people :grumble

To address the thread topic: As a guy that has worked on the Microsoft Xbox team and now at NVIDIA, it's safe to say I'm a hardcore gamer, even as I near my AARP membership age

I can be found on Xbox Live and most multiplayer PC games as LetsKillDave. I (shamefully) have far too many WOW toons, so if you need to know that, just send me a PM.
I let my WoW account expire after playing it since its inception. Finally tired of it with numerous level 80 toons.

Yeah, the storyline isn't the greatest. I'm not as good as most of the people on battle.net, but it is a great multiplayer game. So far everything seems to be well balanced, just need to get a good build order down. Reapers keep wrecking havok with my bases though... :bigmouth

I think I am on Mission 24 of 26, defending the Artifact thingie from the Zerg.

As stated previously the dialog and storyline annoy me. But I have to admit that the scenarios themselves are pretty innovative and keep your interest. I played till 10:30 last night, and that is waaaay past my bedtime.

WOOT! One of second favorite hobbies! PC games
:thewave

Recent played:
L4D 2
Borderlands

Stalker (not online)

I generally like a good story over multiplayer but don't mind a good fast paced FPS every once in a while.

If anyone wants to do any Starcraft multiplayer, send me a PM with your email and I'll add you.

I'm about middle of the pack in a gold league right now 1v1, so I like to think I'm at least decent.

Normally play zerg, but shifting a little to terran lately.

I enjoy it too, although not as often now (other games beckon). Friend me (LetsKillDave) and I'll keep an eye out for ya!

My PC is old so I haven't done much online gaming... now that I moved to Justin though I have a better setup, and I've networked a few computers and had my siblings over to play some LAN games (classics like Half Life and Battlefield 1942).

Hopefully ordering the stuff for a new PC in the next couple of days though. I'm mostly on 360.

I'm pretty much set on what I'm getting next, but you may have a line on better prices... today I picked up a case, DVD drive, RAM and a GTX460 video card (I don't have a huge budget right now).

Looking to get a Core i5 2500k (Sandy Bridge) processor, ASUS P8P67 Pro mobo, and a WD Caviar Black 1tb HD. Looks like $500 total if purchased from Newegg (and free shipping!).

Windows 7 as well. Man, I need to sell some stuff... Oh, and find a power supply. Later on I might run two video cards, so I have to keep that in mind when looking for a PS... it's been a long time since I've researched any PC components :???:

HD video editing, mainly. From what I've heard they're one of the best drives out there.

ETA: As for the power supply, I don't know if I'm going to do an SLI setup in the future or not, so I don't know if I'll need more power or not... the GTX460 says 450w minimum.
