Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

I logged on to the DPS website this morning, and...

"Application Completed - license issued or certificate active".

Application received by DPS: 2/5
PIN received: 4/5
Application Completed - license issued or certificate active: 4/30

So, that's 60 days to receive the PIN, and an additional 25 days until license issued, for a total of 85 days.

To all those remaining in the "Waiting Room", bye for now, and I'll see ya on the other side.

Once the status changed, it took about 4-5 days for my plastic to arrive. You guys are in the homestretch! :hurry:

Just make sure to clean your area in the Waiting Room thoroughly so you don't forfeit your deposit! We want to make sure that folks leave it cleaner than they found it.

Cheers!

Congrats TG!

I know you were stressed for a long time since it took so long to get your PIN, but boy I wish our positions were reversed right now! 2/8 received by DPS and still waiting.

take some good pics of your Wally Walk like AnnoyedMan did - I got a good kick out of those

Hey, man. Thats good news. My status changed last Thursday and I got my plastic Saturday. Did the obligatory "wally walk" today. First went to the bank, then Cabelas and lastly wal-mart. It was a weird feeling at first, like I was printing the entire time, expecting police sirens and circling helicopters. Nothing... Forgot about it after awhile, felt as natural as carrying my knife and wallet. A new way of life begins!

Can someone tell me who I irritated at the DPS? My application was recieved 1/25/08 by DPS, got PIN on 3/28/08 (63 days). The worst thing on my record was a couple of speeding tickets from 3 years ago (all paid off). Still says processing app. (98 days as of 5/1/08) and I only called once 2 weeks ago to make sure that they got everything they needed (I didn't get Simone, a guy answered).

Anyways, congrats on getting complete. :clapping: Hope you enjoy your wally-walk.

Congratulations! You're good to go. I understand that your experience is becomming the rule rather than the exception. This gives others a glimpse of what may be to come. But your wait is over and I am glad for you.
