CHL class: 12/20/15
Online App, documents sent, confirmation received: 12/21/15
Fingerprints: 12/23/15
Status Change: 3/22/16
Plastic in hand: 3/23/16

For a grand total of 93 calendar days and 61 business days since my confirmation email. If I hadn't called my state rep and Gov Abbott, who knows how long it would have taken? I think that shaved off 2-3 weeks.

It's been real, folks. Y'all be safe out there! :thumbs2: :txflag:
Congrats, brother! I guess I'll be stopping by the post office today.

This was about a week after contacting your Rep and Governor?

Have we determined an average time after site change till the card arrives? It seems most of the ones I've seen were within a day or two.
Website changed for me on Friday morning 3/18, plastic in hand yesterday.
Website changed for me Saturday the 19th. Still no plastic.
Plastic Arrived TODAY! Good luck all.

Yippee, got through. Card mailed on date of status change, March 7th. I have to wait 30 days from that date to call for replacement.
That will make it 99 days plus the wait for printing and shipping again. So i am legal, approved but cannot carry. Malrs a lot of sense. Confirm date was Dec 28 last year.

Indeed it was. After contacting my state representative's office I received a call the next day from DPS saying they'd have the license to me in about a week. It was in my hands 6 days later. :thumbs2:

I'll be looking for mine next week then. I got a call as a result of Dawna Dukes office intervening yesterday and they told me it was off to the printer. Although Abbott's office sent me a letter telling me that the director's office would be contacting me, I never heard from them. I have to say I was my Rep was more effective.

Congrats on the Plastic :cheers2:

Thanks! :fire

Your experience is the same as mine. Gov Abbott's office sent me a nice looking form letter. Dukes' office got me results! Go Dawnna! :thumbs2:

Took LTC class on January 16, 2016.
Submitted forms on January 17.
Completed last step (fingerprints) on January 30.
License arrived April 23, 2016.
Texas DPS website never showed any changes on my status, you have to call to find out your status.
I have a clean record (no felonies, misdemeanors, or tickets) and had already purchased 3 guns prior to obtaining the license. Texas DPS said they were overwhelmed with applications so the process is taking longer than usual this year, they did not even start working on mine until after 60 days of completing my last step.
