7/5/18 - Renewal App submitted online
7/7/18 - Status appears online - all green except background check and print pending
7/8/18 - Status change - Fingerprints under review (turned yellow)
7/9/18 - Status change - Fingerprints complete (green again) - background check and print pending still yellow
7/12/18 - Status change - Background check complete - Print Pending

On vacation so won't be able to post "received" until after I return, but expect to see "Mailed" any day now.
Update:

7/17/18 - Mailed.

Ignorance is rampant in this part of Texas. I managed to shake it off and I am a firm believer of 2nd Amendment rights

You can apply up to six months in advance. They should send you a notice. I think I got mine in July, and mine expires in January. It only took 11 days total, from filing my application, to having plastic in hand.
