#1

Post by txrancher »

Submitted on 05/01
Background Check completed 05/16
Mailed 05/18

Pretty quick turn around on renewing. Fourteen business days from submission to mailing. Should have new plastic in hand next week.

I submitted my renewal about 2 weeks ago. Shows fingerprints and background under review for the last few days.

The wait never gets easier, does it?

There should not be a wait.

Why so anxious about the wait on a renewal? Unless you waited and waited to renew, then in that case, you are just waiting some more due to your actions or lack thereof.

I'm waiting on permission to exercise a right. I get impatient.

I can understand. I renewed mine earlier this year. I am thinking it took about 3 weeks but I was not watching the clock because I had about 5 month to go before expiration.

I didn't realize there was a LTC Renewal thread until now, I just posted in the "Waiting Room." But for completeness' sake, I put in my renewal on 8 May and had license in mailbox on 26 May. 18 days.

I am now print pending. I should have written down the date I submitted.

I just started a thread elsewhere... but I didn't get any notice that I was expiring. Had the wrong year in my head. My fault for not looking...but surprised I didn't get any form of a notice. not an email, not a letter... Is this everyone's experience on renewal?

Just for another data point...

7/5/18 - Renewal App submitted online
7/7/18 - Status appears online - all green except background check and print pending
7/8/18 - Status change - Fingerprints under review (turned yellow)
7/9/18 - Status change - Fingerprints complete (green again) - background check and print pending still yellow
7/12/18 - Status change - Background check complete - Print Pending

On vacation so won't be able to post "received" until after I return, but expect to see "Mailed" any day now.
