Actually if you read the statute, nowhere in the statute does it say business days... it says 60 days... I will argue that with them if I ever have to call...

I tried but it is useless. That lady told me that it can take minimum of 40 business days and upto 180 business days. I'm just curious why so long just for fingerprint review? Are they actually sit down with microscope and examine every single fingerprint? Everything is automated now days and it is not them who are doing the review but computer and it doesn't take that long for computer to process fingerprint and background check.

yeah, I'm curious too because my job requires a background check regularly, and if I don't pass I lose my job... still have no idea what is taking so long on my background check but I know its clean...

I don't have any criminal background but I have moved once in 5 years and had a change of employment. Hopefully that won't slow it down too much.

I submitted 5 different addresses due to being in the military and 9 business days later everything is green minus the print pending and it was through the 4th of July holiday.

I'm not freaking out yet... lol... especially after reading other posts on here where it took 80+ days... I'm just hoping I'm not in the 80+ group...

This is the reply I got from DPS

Our records indicate your application is processing. We appreciate your understanding and patience. This can take up to eight (8) business weeks to complete once your application is submitted and all documents are received. In the event additional review or more information or documents are required to complete an application, DPS has an additional 180 days to complete the review process. Your fingerprints were received on 06/16/2019. No additional documentation is needed at this time.

So I guess it is not 40 calendar days but more like 40 business days

If you have trouble finding time for the class, do the Application and Fingerprints ASAP and get that going. I did that and got my card 12 days after the class.

It took mine almost a full week before it showed up on the website... I submitted on 7-3 and it updated on 7-9

Well guys it is confirmed that processing times are now upto 60 business days not calendar days but business days

It is now print pending

I'm just wondering how long it will be from print pending to actually license in the mail

Today it shows as mailed

Got the license yesterday in the mail
