Re: 2019 New LTC Processing Timeline...

Renewal submitted on Friday the 13th, December. There is a tradition in that. My first license arrived on a Friday the 13th.
Today, 12/15, the status page has gone away, which the web site says happens after the license has been renewed.
My guess, somebody took a look at my record, how I come to a full and complete stop at each and every stop sign, respect speed limits, signal for every turn, carefully preserve every mattress label, and figured it would just demoralize an investigator to look much further.
Boring I may be, but after my original license expires next month it sounds like I'll still let a handgun be the constant companion of my walks.
Running up to six weeks before expiration - I never got a reminder, if they indeed send them out - has renewed my appreciation of the wonderful American right to keep and bear arms. I do not unlawfully carry, but I minimize my time in places where I can't, and where I can, I always, faithfully, without fail, carry.
So much for gun control being an answer to crime, or any issues with loaded weapons carried respectfully. When I touch a gun, it's a promise to myself to be safe as much as it's a vow to defend my family, should that terrible need arise.
Cocked, locked, one in the tube, a grin on my mug and a song in my heart. It's the way to live.
Y'all have a wonderful Christmas.
