Does anyone know how you can request to be squadded with your buddies? The webiste indicates squading will be fixed.

You are required to select a squad after you register and pay on the same on line visit.

When you register and pay each of your friends can select the same squad number.

Our group from PSC had one member register, pay and squad the entire group.

Darn, TxD, I thought they were going to keep you out this year; I hate being shown up by a revolver shooter (especially since I used to be one!).

Thanks TxD! I'm signed up and picked a slot on the PSC squad. Looking forward to seeing you there.

David, they tried to keep me out but after I promised to shoot my snubby in SSR
they let me in.

It will be an interesting weekend.

Friday the 2nd I will shoot a 625 moon clip 45acp in the Area 4 USPSA Championship in Wichita Falls.

Saturday the 3rd I will travel back to Houston.

Sunday the 4th I will be shooting the 38 snubby in the Texas State IDPA Championship in Monaville.

Good times.

Why not shoot your 625 again on Sunday, since you will be all practiced up from Friday?

I like shooting the snubby in competition since I normally pocket carry a revolver with my CHL.

After the snubby comes out of concealment at LAMR, I like to watch the SO's face when I tell him I am saving up for a longer barrel and ask for a donation.

Most of all, I like seeing some of the SSP, ESP, and CDP shooters trying to figure out how an OFG can beat them with a snubby.

I got in off the waiting list! :anamatedbanana Those of you interested in getting on the waiting list, E-mail Al Lezwick(sp) from the TTS website, he is handling the waiting list.

I didn't get to pick my squad since I came from the waiting list. Anyone else from here on squad 2?

I'm in squad 2

It's going to be a long, hot day.

Hydration Tips for Hot Weather Exercise

Notice the site recomends cool water-- not ice cold. I noticed the last couple of times shooting outside this summer that when I drank ice cold water from my cooler, it felt good until it hit my tummy. The ice cold water seemed to cause problems. It almost hurt and I felt a little dizzy for a minute or so after drinking . I let a bottle of water warm up a bit and that seemed to work better.

Maybe a cool front will go through? I think I will be happy that I will be working the gun show at GRBrown Labor Day weekend - in air conditioning! However, I will have a couple of vests and knives on the the prize table so I will be there in spirit. Have fun everyone, shoot straight and safe.

Well the state match is in the books. I believe it will be remembered as the dust bowl match! There is no way that the organizers could have possibly been prepared for the amount of wind and blowing dirt/sand we saw at that match.

Kudos to the match staff who worked thier butts off while the wind was destroying props, walls, targets, and everything else. Mike Sells designed a course that was fun and very challenging. Overall it was a great time despite the weather conditions. :txflag:
