FINAL PASSAGE OF SB378

SB378, Castle Doctrine, just passed the House on the following vote:
Yea = 133, Nay = 13, Present Not Voting = 1.

The Bill now goes to Gov. Perry for his signature. It will become effective on Sept. 1, 2007. Now we can go about showing the country that Sara Brady lied again.

Chas.
I posted this in the locked bill status section, but I'm posting it here so people can comment if they want to defend Ms. Brady. :smilelol5:

Seriously, I want to thank Chairman Driver and Senator Wentworth for all of their hard work and leadership in bringing a true Castle Doctrine/"True Man" law to Texas. I also want to thank the 107 House co-sponsors and the 28 Senate co-sponsors for signing on to this Bill and in so doing, showing their respect for all law-abiding Texans. I want to thank all of you who added your voices to those supporting this Bill. And finally, I want to thank Alice Tripp and Tara Mica for working this Bill like Trojans and paving the way for its passage.

May God continue to bless Texas.
Chas.

Chas...think we's all like to thank you as well...not just for hosting the website, but your tireless efforts in other areas, including Legislative action. Was watching the House Vote and Yes to Chairman Driver and Sen Wenworth.. Sen Corona, et al(TRSA!) for making the Castle Doctrine a reality as it was designed to acheive. Again thanks Charles!!

I'm sorry to say we're far from it. To get a solid F, we need to allow employees to keep weapons in their vehicles in employer parking lots.
