You can. The two processes are independent of one another.
It does make the process a little smoother, imo.

I would.
Good luck for a quick turn around.

Yes. And get your fingerprints, too. It will save you time.Nuts4hotwheels wrote:This has probably been covered before but should I start the online application before I take my CHL class or is it even possible? I am planning to take my class in about two weeks.

Just FYI you will be given the option to schedule your Fingerprints after you submit your application online.

Re: Should I start application online before class?
An excellent idea. I would love if all my students did this. It seems to help them in the class. They ask more pointed questions and are able to explain to others more of the process and the issues they have encountered, which increases my teach time and reduces time spent trying to explain how the process works, which is not a part of class instruction time and increases the length of the class. They bunch up during breaks and talk about it. I love it!

This is all assuming that you know with absolute certainty that you are qualified and have no pimples on the record. During my first class years ago, the instructor first explained what you could not done to qualify, and sure enough, four guys in the front rows sheepishly picked up the materials and left the room.
Re: Should I start application online before class?
My girlfriend and I both started our process before taking the class. So everything submitted and finger prints done before the class. Took me about 50 days from taking the class to get my plastic, about 64 days from start to finish. Girlfriend took less time than that I think. I made a post about it on here somewhere if you care to dig through my posts and find it.
