Hood County 2nd Amendment Resolution

#1

Post by carlson1 » Tue Oct 08, 2019 10:13 pm

County commissioners took an oath to "support and defend" the U.S. and Texas, as long as the laws are constitutional, the resolution says.

The resolution continues, the "Commissioners Court affirms its support for the duly elected Sheriff of Hood County, Texas, in the exercise of his sound discretion, and affirms its resolve to support decisions by our Sheriff to not enforce any unconstitutional firearms restrictions against any citizen."

While it is certainly good news....it is also a poignant example of something that is very wrong.

This mans 'stand' to uphold his vows should be the NORM...not the exception.

It is sad that we find ourselves celebrating an occurrence that should be just day to day policy.

From what I can tell....this Sheriff's position is in line with many other departments across the country, so maybe they are just more honest than Police Chiefs...who seem to make up the bulk of the problem (anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment, anti-right to protect one's self).
Spartans ask not how many, but where!

Difference is Sheriffs are elected and Police Chiefs are appointed! Most Police Chiefs are political hacks!
