A private Christian school in Arlington is arming administrators with guns in an effort to keep kids safe.

The leaders at Pantego Christian Academy say it’s been in the works before the Florida shooting. But unlike public school districts, private school teachers are not eligible to carry guns on campus.

Pantego Christian Academy is a private school with roughly 600 to 700 students. They have a campus in Arlington and in Mansfield.
Can anyone verify the bolded statement above?

I wonder if they misunderstood and it's just Pantego policy that only allows administrators to carry.

The reason I say that is I had a talk with one of our school board members and they are working through the insurance issues associated with teacher/staff/admin carry.

Reading the article linked in the OP, it sounds like it's just the academy's policy to not allow teachers to carry.
