Santa's Wonderland, College Station 30.06?

#1

Post by Maxwell »

I have to help escort a large group of our close friends' children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to Santa's Wonderland in College Station.
Their policies posted on the web state no firearms but I cannot find anything on them on TExas3006.com. Does anyone know if they are posted or do they fall under the theme park rules for gun-free zones?

Is it "open for operation more than 120 days in each calendar year"?

I didn't see any postings when I went this year. Have fun but expect some long lines.

Went last year and it wasn't posted carried my xdm with no problems. On Saturday night it was way too crowded though probably a 6 hour wait for the hayride and lights.

If they do not have "amusement rides", are smaller than 75 acres or aren't open for more than 120 days a year, they do not meet the definition of an Amusement Park.

You can see the list of certified amusement rides here:

AND located in county with population >1,000,000. Brazos County is about 750,000 short. AND they would still have to post.

Bumping this thread because I didn’t see an update for the 2019 season- they do have 30.06 signs posted this year, and just in case you “don’t see the sign” I’ll let you know now: they are funneling people through metal detectors.

I don't know anything about this location, but I guess the next question is, "Who owns this place?" Are those 30.06 signs enforceable and can they actually prohibit OC or CC?
