Count me in for the day. I will hopefully have 3 more with me.
Me and the wife would be in for the Friday nite get together.
Catered lunch is great or picnic basket. I just don't want to leave the range until all is complete.
I am available as a helper if needed also.

Mike, welcome to the Forum and :hurry: for your first post!

We may have met last year at TXCHL Day at PSC. Looking forward to next September!

It's worth the trip! As September gets closer, I'd post for participants to form a carpool. If it were me, I think renting a passenger van (costs shared) and making a party of the drive down and back would be great fun.

Unfortunately for our neighbors to the north, our Forum godfather has a special relationship with PSC and can command one of Texas's best shooting ranges for an event like this. I'm sure that staging it elsewhere would result in significantly higher costs and more organizational difficulty.

Besides, late September through the end of October is about the best weather we get in south Texas. Make a vacation of it! Book a reservation at the Hotel Galvez in Galeston after TXCHL Day, enjoy their fantastic Sunday brunch, stroll the seawall, charter a fishing boat.

I drive about 150 miles. My son a little more than that. We get a room & it is worth every penny & the vacation time we have to schedule.
Some folks drive farther than we do.

Agreed. It's about 280 miles for me. If anyone reading this is looking for a hotel, the Springhill Suites in Pearland is excellent. I, for one, will definitely be staying there again this year.

Count me in. Last year was a lot of fun. Having "ladies only" classes that my daughter could attend was a huge benefit, it allowed dad to expend a ton of ammo on the Texas Star and sit in on the lectures.

You can always count me in.

My wife and I are new CHL's and we'd be interested in attending your event in September. Having food on-site sounds good to us.
