Just curious and always learning. What is a slide fired device?

Without searching, i'm taking a wild stab that slide fired would be things like keltec sub 2k and others that use say a glock pistol as the actual firing mechanism.

It's one of the stocks that slides back and forth, allowing sustained bump fire from the shoulder, immitating full auto.

Yeah, thats what my first impression was too, but that didn't make any sense. Why?? I suppose 90 yd targets might be more difficult with pistol grade ammo. I think the following might be the correct answer though. It makes some sense to me.

90 yards is very doable, just ~1/3 the velocity.

Correct answer.

Wish I was helping teach this one, but I'll be next door teaching the LTC class that Saturday morning.
