All right... y'all have given TAM such grief over his avatar, I just have to say it. Does anyone else think that jimlongley looks more than a bit like Jed Clampett?

What was the name of the ship - you appear to be on guard duty?

Were you a Marine, Navy, Coast Guard or ...?

I'm guessing that photo was taken a number of years ago.

USS Zellars DD777, I was on shark watch and the diver had just come rocketing out of the water to report a HUGE!!! shark down there. I was in the process of shifting my Garand from one hand to the other and the cigarette to the other and inserting the clip and heading toward the rail to shoot at the shark.
