There are people who go through life scouring for something or someone to submit to so they can feel virtuous and get accolades from their equally spineless circle of acquaintances.

So many of these make their way into administrative positions in "educational" institutions that it may be a job requirement.

"I was thinking about what I should do," said Gwen Berry. "Eventually I stayed there and I swayed, I put my shirt over my head. It was real disrespectful."

To be clear, what she thinks was disrespectful was the playing of the National Anthem. Not her turning her back to the flag and putting a black T-shirt over her head. That was what she decided was the proper way for her to respond. The women taking the podium were handed a small bouquet of flowers and a small U.S. flag. Berry refused the to take a flag.

"The anthem doesn't speak for me. It never has. My purpose and my mission is bigger than sports," she continued. "I'm here to represent those ... who died due to systemic racism. That's the important part. That's why I'm going. That's why I'm here today."

Funny that U.S. Olympic Committee who gets all its funding from the tax payers and from tax-payer donations--and, heck, all the rest of us and the rest of the world, for that matter--thought that you were going to Tokyo to compete as a member of Team USA. Not Team Gwendolyn Berry.

Notre Dame leprechaun mascot under fire as being most racist in the country. Defended by Notre Dame as not the same as other mascots. Created by same people it represents. For example Redskins mascot not created by Native Americans who owned a football team.

English medieval Griffen is racist, since it resembles a dragon which apparently was used by the KKK.

I guess unless you spend a lot of time pouring over KKK historical documents, most people would n’t know that.

So now you know any reference to a dragon or Griffen or any other medieval fire breathing monster is racist.

Apparently not much crime to worry about in Davenport, Iowa.

Thomas Jefferson statue to be removed from New York City Council chambers.

De Blasio has shared his own views of Jefferson, calling the founding father "complex."

The City Council's Black, Latino, and Asian caucus released a statement on the statue's removal.

"This Administration owes it to the more than five million New Yorkers of color our members - past, present and future - represent, to resolve that the individuals memorialized within the confines of our People's House be reflective not only of the best traditions of our city's history and its diversity but unquestionable character,"

This is one of the nicer quotes from the Caucus. Others I read were far worse.

Chicago Art Museum fires all of its white rich women volunteer docents.

Not the image they wanted.

I wonder what the will do when they find out that it was the docents and their friends and families who made a significant portion of the museums donations. The poor and middle class may like the museum but they have a lot of trouble supporting it.

Museums are now woke.

I revisited the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art after seeing it ten years ago. It was created by a Walmart heir in Bentonville AK. They now have a director of diversity and inclusion. It shows. In a room of Colonial era portraits, they have shoved a 1930 portrait by a Cuban artist and next to it is a video screen with a tick tock video screen portrait of a rapper done 3 years ago. Rosie the Riveter by Norman Rockwell has been moved out of the main galleries and you have to pay to see her. Oddly Native American Art is represented no where.

But clearly the best museum or library in Arkansas even if it doesn’t have a hot tub on the roof gallery.

My grandfather was Native American and liked Thanksgiving. We all celebrate it.

I have a friend whose grandmother was half Native American.

He is a tenured professor at a major university. He celebrates Thanksgiving as well.

But the left will tell you there is no war on Christmas.
