Justice Alito has a great sense of humor mocks Boris Johnson and Ex Prince Harry for criticizing our laws. “ Boris paid the price” .

Lol CNN upset over Alitos remarks. ( wish I could say how they were hurting, but, I don’t think I can)

I heard him on the radio say it, he was hilarious.

"The Obamas

Former first lady Michelle Obama wrote about her own experience as one of the few Black students on her college campus and said in a statement that "today, my heart breaks for any young person out there who's wondering what their future holds — and what kinds of chances will be open to them."

"Today is a reminder that we've got to do the work not just to enact policies that reflect our values of equity and fairness, but to truly make those values real in all of our schools, workplaces, and neighborhood," she said.

Former President Barack Obama, in a shorter statement, said: "Like any policy, affirmative action wasn't perfect. But it allowed generations of students like Michelle and me to prove we belonged. Now it's up to all of us to give young people the opportunities they deserve — and help students everywhere benefit from new perspectives."

And more importantly, well for this forum, SCOTUS accepted the Rahimi case for next fall:

https://www.scotusblog.com/2023/06/just ... t-dispute/

This is the challenge to federal law banning people under a protective order from having guns. As I understand it, the appeal is a direct result of Bruen, where they are arguing that there is no history or tradition of forfeiting rights due to a protective order without a conviction.

Both Barack and Michelle lost their law licenses or as they stated, they "gave them up". No lawyer I have ever run across would voluntarily give up being a lawyer except to keep from having it stripped and be disbarred. Bill Clinton fought to get his back even though he had no intention to ever practice again.
